First (time) Prize Received Ever!
Manasa received 3rd prize in story telling competition in her LKG.
The Story behind it:
Manasa learned telling Prahalladh Story when she was 2 years old. You can check the videos in 22-24 months folder. I have given here the links for easier access.

In LKG this year for this story telling, she was selected in the preliminary round. Three students from 35 were selected for this preliminary round. Then final round happened with properties. Manasa used these properties: Gadhai, Lion mask, Narasimhar photo (hung on her neck like a chain) and photos of prahallad & Hriranyakashipu (sticked on to a table tennis bat).
I was curious to know the result, but her class teacher itself did not know anything. I called up twice or thrice to her teacher, but as she said she did not know about it, I slowly forgot about it. After a month, they inform us through the dairy that she is received prize.
As they told to come early today, I thought I can go and take a snap. But they did not allow for it. Even now, the class teacher says she did not know if she is going to receive what prize (1st or 2nd or so). Ufff.
Finally when she came home, I saw the certificate (3rd prize) and a story book.
Hurray! Finally she made it. It is just a third prize, but I am sooo proud and glad about it. Here are the photos.

First (Week of) Home Work
Writing standing lines was her first home work this week.
On the first day, she was not comfortable to write by sitting on floor. She started to lie down and write. (Awww, No! Not so early!) Then she said she wants to sit on a table & chair (இதுலெல்லாம் ரொம்ப தெளிவு!). So with her baby chair and a stool, I brought home a school kind of atmosphere.
Gaining her attention to write is a real tough. Salute to KG teachers who have to manage a bunch of students.
To cheer her up, I started telling very good, excellent, outstanding, marvelous etc words every time she writes a standing line. And this became a rule in later days. She told me today ‘mmm, tell me very good, great etc’. And so I did. (வேற வழி?)
More than writing, she is interested only in rubbing it with an eraser.
She is asking me all sorts of questions like why should I write it? Why should I write only with a pencil? In school only I have to write, why asking me to write at home? And bla bla bla
When she is writing last column of standing lines, she said ‘ammaa, this is the last time and hereafter don’t ask me to write’, in a tone as if she is doing me some favor.
In this entire process, my BP was raising and I had to strive hard to control it.:D
